Monument Peak

Volcanogenic massive sulfide - copper, silver and gold

The Monument Peak Project is an early stage high grade copper, silver, and gold VMS accessible by road approximately 20 km east of Salmon, ID.

The Project falls within the major metallogenic province associated with the Trans-Challis Fault System; with a long historic of both hard rock and placer gold mining. Placer operations downstream from the property resulted in 39,699 oz Au and 4,007 oz Ag from 1901 to 1918.

The property consists of 1380 acres and contains the historical Jackson and Hungry Hill Mines. Mineralization occurs along 3,200 + m strike and is 3 to 6+ m in places and has "unusual continuity" (Mitchel, 1972). Mineralization occurs in four main locations:

  • The Jackson Mine (located in the center of the property) is the location of the majority of the historical work. Samples in this area contained up to 4.3 g/t Au, 55 g/t Ag and 6.5 % Cu (grab).

  • Rock samples at the gold/silver rich North Showing contained up to 57 g/t Au, 247 g/t Ag and 0.57 % Cu (grab).

  • At the Anderson Occurrence (located along trend to the south of the Jackson Mine) rock sample contain up to 1.2 g/t Au, 49 g/t Ag and 3.1% Cu (grab).

  • The Hungry Hill Mine is located ~2 km east of the main trend. A 15 ton mine sample shipment contained 0.44 g/t Au, 29 g/t Ag and 24% Cu including 2.4 m of 17% Cu.
