Ceiling lithium
LCT-Pegmatite
The Ceiling Lithium Project is an early-stage project which encompasses 12,496 acres (5,057 ha) of the Wemindji Greenstone Belt in James Bay, QC.
The James Bay Region is a prolific mining district of Quebec with a long history of gold mining. It is also developing into a world-class LCT Pegmatite district with recent discoveries demonsrtating pegmatite potential of +100 Mt at greater than 1% Li2O.
The project is approximately 25 km southwest of Queensland Gold’s Mia Lithium Project, which is host to an 8+ km trend of spodumene-bearing pegmatites.
Located just southeast of the community of Wemindji, the project is within a short distance of an all-weather road that links with the main Highway 109.
Only very limited geochemical sampling and mapping has been completed on the Project. In 1976 the Quebec government mapped the greenstone belt and surrounding area and identified tourmaline and molybdenum-bearing pegmatites.
